Have you ever just wanted to call "Time Out" in your life? For me, it's a weekly consideration. For the past few weeks, our life has been crazier than usual. We've had two days of teacher inservice and a teacher workshop (blah), our February bday get-together (at Cafe Brazil), a wedding shower for a co-worker AFTER a lengthy faculty meeting, Wednesday night fellowship at our house, a Third Day concert, a district basketball tourney (which our 8th grade boys took 1st in!). The majority of these events were fun (especially family time at CB) but still required much planning and on-the-road time. Add all that to the general day-to-day, and you've got quite a planner full!
Early in our marriage, Coach and I started a tradition known as "Runaways". They are the most amazing thing ever, so I'm sure God must have had a hand in creating them. Remember being a kid and wanting to run away from home because you just couldn't take it anymore? Same thing! Only now we're adults, running away from bigger things: work, responsibilties, parents, kids. It's a great way to call TIME OUT!
For the past 4 years, Austin has been our Spring Break Runaway and the place we meet up with my college roomie and her hubby. We love Austin and sharing it with our friends! I hereby dedicate this next week to Austin and all the cool and weird things we like to do. Feel free to add our list.
